Recently, WordCamp 2023 was organized on September 8th and 9th. I have been participating in WordCamp since 2013 and have been involved in WordCamp as an attendee, speaker, and organizer since then. This time I participated in the event as one of the contributor day speakers and also sponsored the event with our product, Gutenify. The event was a grand success, and around 450+ WordPress enthusiasts participated in it. I had the chance to meet lots of friends who have been working in different areas of WordPress for a very long period of time.
The first day was contributor day. I shared my knowledge regarding WordPress plugin development. There were around 30+ attendees in my session. I spoke for almost 3 hours, sharing codes, tips, and tricks regarding plugin development. Overall, my session went smoothly, and hopefully participants learned some plugin development processes.
The second day was the main event day. Speakers from different countries, including India, Bangladesh, and Nepal, spoke on different topics. Sessions were packed with knowledge that is useful for a career in WordPress. I also shared some advice with the lead organizer of WordCamp Kathmandu, Mr. Surendra Sharestha, and the global lead of WordCamp, Mr. Yam B Chhetri. Both have been very good friends of mine for a very long period of time and have been in constant discussion about making WordCamps more fruitful for both WordPress and its community.
I received a token of love as a speaker and sponsor for the event. We disturbed some swags of Gutenify among the participants.
Next, I am planning to be one of the organizers of WordCamp Nepal 2024. So I took some ideas from WordCamp Kathmandu 2023. Hopefully WordCamp Nepal 2024 will also be grand. See you soon at WordCamp Nepal 2024.
